Question 946230: I'm struggling a lot on solving an equation in quadratic form. The problem I'm currently on is the following:
6(x+2)^4 - 11(x+2)^2 = 4
where u = (x+2)^2 and u^2 = (x+2)^4
So far I've done...
6u^2 - 11u + 4 = 0
(2u - 1)(3u - 4) = 0
u = 1/2 and u = 4/3
From there, I need help.
