Answer by ewatrrr(24785)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x^2 -3=-5x Set to Zero
2x^2 + 5x - 3 = 0 Factor
F First terms 2x^2
O Outside terms + I Inside terms = 5x
L Last terms -3
(2x -1)(x +3)= 0
(2x -1) = 0 Set each factor to Zero and solve
x = 1/2
0r
(x +3)= 0
x = -3
..........
using the quadratic formula
2x^2 -3=-5x Set to Zero.. Format: ax^2 + bx + c = 0
2x^2 + 5x - 3 = 0

x = 12/4 = -3 0r a = 2/4 = 1/2
