let,
number = X
length = 2x+6
width = x+3
formula of rectangle's area = LxW
given
area= 32
equation
(2x+6)(X+6)=32
solve the equation you will get the answer.

The length of a rectangle is 6 more than two times a number. The width is the number plus three and the area is 32. What is the width of the rectangle?
Let number be N
Then length = 2N + 6, and width = N + 3
Since area = 32, then we get: (2N + 6)(N + 3) = 32
------- FOILing left side

------- Factoring out GCF, 2

(N - 1)(N + 7) = 0
N = 1 OR N = - 7 (ignore)
Width: 1 + 3, or units
You can do the check!!
