Question 926885: Sketch the equation and label the equation -.5(x-0)(x-4) then rewrite into standard form, then write into vertex form.
I already have it sketched and labeled, I just need help rewriting into the last two forms, thanks!

You can find the axis of symmetry in the middle of the roots, and then evaluate the expression at that x value. Fill in the standard form equation parts. VERTEX form and STANDARD form are the same thing.

Roots: 0 and 4.
MIDDLE is axis of symmetry: x=2.
The function at x=2: .

Function .

Multiply and simplify the function definition if you want general form.
