Find the vertex, discuss the transformation from the parent graph and state the roots of f(x)=x^2+12x+35
***
To find the vertex:
complete the square:
f(x)=(x^2+12x+36)-36+35
f(x)=(x+6)^2-1
This is the vertex form of equation for a parabola that opens upwards wit vertex at (-6,-1)
..
To find the roots, set f(x)=0
x^2+12x+35=0
(x+7)(x+5)=0
x=-7
or
x=-5
Roots are -7 and -5
