Could someone show me how I solve for x on this one? Please provide step by step so I know how you got the answer. This is a fraction problem: 3x is over the 5 as a fraction and 1 is also over the 3
3x/5 - = x + 1/3

That has a stray mark. You might be asking to solve .

Lowest common denominator is 3*5; so multiply both members by 3*5.
