None of the factors of twenty fit the description and I've tried to find the right two numbers (decimals) but I'm really confused.

Let x represent the width

Question states***

 

 2x^2-20 = 0

 x^2 = 10      (Tossing out the negative solution for unit measure)

  x = sqrt(10)

CHECKING our answer***

 20 = 20
