(3/4)x^2-2x+(1/2)=0
multiply equation by 4
3x^2-8x+2=0
solve by quadratic formula
a= 3 , b= -8 , c= 2

b^2-4ac= 64 + -24
b^2-4ac= 40

x1=( 8 + 6.32 )/ 6
x1= 2.39

x2=( 8 -6.32 ) / 6
x2= 0.28
x=2.39,Or 0.28
