Question 809376: I know this equation has a quadratic form but if I factor out the x^2 it does not make sense.
x^4-4x^2-12=0
So how would I find the roots of this equation?

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(x^2-6)(x^2+2)=0
.
x^2=6
x=sqrt(6), x=-sqrt(6)
.
x^2=-2
x=sqrt(2)i, x=-sqrt(2)i
