x^2-24=0
1- Add 24 to both sides of the equation
x^2 - 24+24=0+24
x^2 =24
2- Take the square root of both sides of what's left
sqrt (x^2)= sqrt (24)
x= 4.898979
3- Your solution is 4.898979 OR 2 times(sqrt 6)
