Question 78019: Graph the relation and state its domain and range.
x=y^2-1

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Graph the relation and state its domain and range.
x=y^2-1
----------
Since y is not in a denominator and y is not in a radical, y can take
any value.
So, Range is All Real Numbers.
---------
Since y^2 is always >0 zero
y^2-1 must be >=1.
So, Domain is All Real Numbers that are >=1
-------------
To graph, solve for y:
y=sqrt(x+1) OR y=-sqrt(x+1)
