I am quite familiar in Quadratic formula but I do not know how to use it when there is a square root or imaginary (i) in it. Please help me in solving this algebraic problem, (this one has a square root)
t^2-2t√(2)+1=0 (that is t squared + 2t square root of 2 +1 = 0). Thank you very much for your help. God bless!

t^2-2√(2)t+1=0
using quadratic formula to solve for t

a=1, b=-2√2, c=1
b^2=(-2√2)^2=8
4ac=4*1*1=4
..
t=[2√2�√(8-4)]/2
t=[2√2�√4)]/2
t=[2√2�2]/2
t=[√2�1]
t=1.41�1
t≈0.41
or
t≈2.41
