You are almost right.
2x^2 - 4x + 11
2(x^2 - 2x + 11
(-2/2)^2 = 1
2(x^2 - 2x + 1) (2 * -1) + 11
2(x - 1)^2 + 9
Don't forget to multiply the
number by 2 that you are taking
across to add to the right
hand side.
