Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3/4x^2 - 2x + 1/2 = 0
multiply both sides of = by 4 and we get
3x^2 -8x +2 = 0
now use quadratic formula
x = (8 + sqrt(64 -4*3*2)) / 6 = (8+sqrt(40))/6 = 2.39
x = (8 - sqrt(64 -4*3*2)) / 6 = (8-sqrt(40))/6 = .28
