How fast would a ball have to be thrown upward to reach a maximum height of 121 ft?

It's the speed the ball would reach if dropped from 121 feet
find the time:
121 = 16t^2
t = 11/4 seconds

v = at
v = 32*(11/4)
v = 88 ft/sec
