Add their separate rates to get their rate filling together
B's rate of filling:
( 1 pool filled ) / ( t hrs )
A's rate of filling:
( 1 pool filled ) / ( t - 3 hrs )
A and B together:
( 1 pool filled ) / ( 2 hrs )
