Question 744535: Solve

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(t+5)^2=12
t^2+10t+25=12

t^2+10t+13=0
Use the quadratic formula
a= 1 , b= 10 , c= 13

b^2-4ac= 100 + -52
b^2-4ac= 48

x1=( -10 + 6.93 )/ 2
x1= -1.54

x2=( -10 -6.93 ) / 2
x2= -8.46

(-1.536 , -8.46 )
