1+2/X+5/X^2=0 YOU NEED TO COMBINE THE X TERMS THUS:
2/X+5/X^2=-1 NOW MULTIPLY THE 2/X TERM BY X/X & YOU GET 2X/X^2. NOW ADD THESE TWO TERMS
(2X+5)/X^2=-1 NOW CROSS MULTIPLY
-X^2=2X+5
-X^2-2X-5=0 MULTIPLY ALL TERMS BY -1
X^2+2X+5
X=(-2+-SQRT[2*2-4*1*5])/2
X=(-2+-SQRT[4-20])/2
X=(-2+-SQRT[-16])/2
X=(-2+-4i)/2
X=(-2+4i)/2
X=-1+2i ANSWER
X=(-2-4i)/2
X=-1-2i ANSWER
