Answer by khwang(438)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2x^4+x^2-3=0
-> (2x^2 + 3) (x^2 -1) = 0
--> (2x^2 + 3) (x -1)(x+1) = 0
--> x =1 ,-1 or +i sqrt(3/2) or -i sqrt(3/2) (or +/-sqrt(6)/2)

I don't do the approx. values that are left for you.
(two real roots and two complex conjugates).
