Question 704495: The unemployment rate is 8.6 % convert rate to a demical then to a reduce fraction, there are 390,000 people look for work but with this rate how many would be unemployed.
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
8.6 % = 8.6/100
8.6 % = 0.086
Multiply this decimal value by 390,000 to get
390,000*0.086 = 33,540
Therefore, 33,540 people would be unemployed.
