Question 680795: use the quadratic formula for :
4x^2+4=17x
my answer:
4x^2+4=17x
4x^2+4-17=0
(-17)^2-4(4)(4)=225
___
17(+/-) /225
___________ = 17(+/-)15 /8

yes you are right.
a= 4 b= -17 c= 4

b^2-4ac= 289 - 64
b^2-4ac= 225 = 15

x1=( 17 + 15 )/ 8
x1= 4
x2=( 17 -15 ) / 8
x2= 0.25
(4,0.25)
