4x^2+x-3=0

4x^2+x-3=0
compare with ax^2+bx+c=0
Find the roots of the equation by quadratic formula
a= 4 b= 1 c= -3

b^2-4ac= 1 - -48
b^2-4ac= 49 = 7

x1=( -1 + 7 )/ 8
x1= 0.75
x2=( -1 -7 ) / 8
x2= -1
The roots are 0.75,-1
