y = 2x^2 + 4x - 6

or
You could find the vertex at (-b/2a, f(-b/2a))
-b/2a=-4/4=-1
f(-1)=2-4-6=-8
So the vertex is at (-1,-8)
The y-intercept is at f(0)=-6
