if roots are 2 and -2, then the quadratic trinomial is a product of two binomials (x-2) and (x+2), and a coefficient a. To find a, you need to use information about maximum point: with x=0, a(x-2)(x+2) = 2. a(0-2)(0+2) = 2, or -4a = 2, or a = -1/2. So, you ttrinomial is -1/2*(x-2)(x+2).
