Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
12M^3-8M^2-15M=0
M(12M^2-8M-15)=0
M(6M+5)(2M-3)=0
M=0 SOLUTION
6M+5=0
6M=-5
M=-5/6 SOLUTION
2M-3=0
2M=3
M=3/2
M=1.5 SOLUTION

Factor:
First, factor out an m.
Now you need to try to factor the parentheses.

Find the factors of 12.
1X12 = 12
2X6 = 12
3X4 = 12
Now factor the -15.
1X(-15) or (-1)X15 = -15
3X(-5) or (-3)X5 = -15
Let's try:
Nope!
= Almost there! Lets switch the signs around.
= That's it!..So, putting it all together:
