Question 659873: Find the value of k such that the following has a repeated real solution and express your answer as a fraction:
-12x2-2x+k=0

-12x² - 2x + k = 0

There is a repeated real solution if the discriminant, what's under the
radical in the quadratic formula, b² - 4ac = 0

a = -12, b = -2, c = k

b² - 4ac = 0

(-2)² - 4(-12)(k) = 0
          4 + 48k = 0
              48k = -4
                k =
                k =
