2x^2 + 2x = -3
Dividing by 2 throughout,
x^2 + x = -3/2
==> x^2 + x +1/4 = -3/2 + 1/4 [adding 1/4 to both the sides to complete the square in the left side]
==> (x+1/2)^2 = -5/4
==> (x+1/2) = +/- sqrt(-5/4)
==> X = -1/2 +/- SQRT(-5/4)
x = -1/2 +/- sqrt(-5/4)
