Answer by tutorcecilia(2152)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
-2x - 4^0 - x / 3 + x + 3^0 / 5 = 3 [any number raised to zero equals 1]
-2x - (1) - x / 3 + x + 1 / 5 = 3
15(-2x - (1) - x / 3 + x + 1 / 5 = 3) [multiply through by a 15 in order to get rid of the fractions]
.
-30x-15-5x+15x+3=45 [multiply the entire equation through by 15
-20x-12=45 [combine like-terms]
-20x=45+12 [solve for x]
-20x=57
x=-57/20
