National charity (NC) a welfare NGO solicits for donations to assist the less fortunate members of society. During the festive season from previous undertakings NC has established that donations will be received at a rate of d(w) donors per week ,
Where d (w) = 100e^-0.1w
w = soliciting period in weeks.
Usually NC requires 2000 donors to accumulate enough donations to serve the purpose
What is the minimum period required for the exercise before a festive season?
The answer should be 10.99 weeks but am getting 13 weeks ....
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Where d (w) = 100e^-0.1w
w = soliciting period in weeks.
Usually NC requires 2000 donors to accumulate enough donations to serve the purpose
What is the minimum period required for the exercise before a festive season?
----------
Comment: If you let d(w)=2000 and then solve for w you
will get a negative value for w. Something is wrong
with the formula.
Cheers,
Stan H.
