Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b
where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.
Line thatpasses through the points
(-4, -1) and
(2, -4) m = 3/-6 = -1/2
y = (-1/2)x + b
|Using ordered pair (x,y): (2,-4) to solve for b
-2 = b
y = (-1/2)x - 2
