All you have to do is factor and you will get . We now have to equate each of the factors m and m+9 to zero since if any of these two are equal to zero, the result when we multiply them is also zero.
Now, m+9=0 ==> m=-9 and m=0.
The solution set in roster form is {-9,0}.
