Question 5907: Can someone tell me if this is right? What is the slope of the line that has the equation 4x + 2y =12? Is the right answer 2????? Please let me know?
Answer by Abbey(339)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
the slope is -2
you must first put the equation in the form y=mx+b, and to do that with this equation you must subtract 4x from both sides, then divide by 2:
y=-2x+12
once in this form, you can see that the m=-2.
