Answer by checkley71(8403)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
IF THE EQUATION IS 2X^2-5X=3
THEN
2X^2-5X-3=0
(2X+1)(X-3)=0
2X+1=0
2X=-1
X=-1/2
&
X-3=0
X=3
PROOF
2(-1/2)^2-5*(-1/2)=3
2(1/4)+5/2=3
1/2+5/2=3
6/2=3
3=3
AND
2*3^2-5*3=3
2*9-15=3
18-15=3
3=3
