Question 5324: could someone help me factor this. I'm horrible with factoring!
x^2-12x+27
( x )( x )
-12x 1,12 2,6 3,4
27 1,27 3,9

Answer by arunpaul(104)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2-12x+27
or x^2-9x-3x+27
factor in such afashion that the addition will be = -12 and multiplication will be =+27
and then the two number willbe -9 and -3
so the above equation will be
x(x-9)-3(x-9)
or the above equation will be
(x-3)(x-9) (ans)
