Question 478397: how to use the quadratic formula to solve for x if 3x(squared)+35=26x
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3x^2-26x+35=0
Find the roots of the equation by quadratic formula
a= 1 b= -26 c= 35
b^2-4ac= 676 - -140
b^2-4ac= 536
= 23.15
x1=( 26 + 23.15 )/ 2
x1= 24.58 ===>172/7
x2=( 26 -23.15 ) / 2
x2= 1.42 ===> 10/7
