I have this math problem 5x^2 -7x-3=0. I am thinking there is no solution to this problem but i may be incorrect. The reason I feel this way because I can not find an equation that will equal 7 and come out three. I am really lost.
---
A = 5
B = -7
C = -3
---
The AC-Method requires that you find
2 numbers whose product is AC = -15
and whose sum or difference = -7
----------------------------
But the only products are 1;15 and 3;5
No sum or difference equals -7.
---
So you'll have to use the Quadratic formula:
x = [7 +- sqrt(49-4*5*-3)]/10
---
x = [7 +- sqrt(109)]/10
