Hi
Can only assume it is:
|Multiplying thru with (x+1)(x-1)so as all denomimators=1
3(x+1)-4(x-1)(x+1) = (x-1)
3x+1-4(x^2-1)= x-1
3x+1-4x^2+4 = x-1
4x^2 -2x -6 = 0 |Note: standard format ax^2 + bx + c

x = 12/8 = 3/2
x = -8/8 = -1
