3x^2 - 8x - 2 = 0
we have
x = (8 ± sqrt(64 + 24)) / 6
x = (8 ± sqrt(88)) / 6
x = (8 ± 2*sqrt(22)) / 6
x = (4 ± sqrt(22)) / 3
