The axis of symmetry is the line that when you fold the parabola over it, you get a perfect side matching the other side. Since the equation shows a vertical parabola, the x-value of the vertex determines the axis of symmetry.
Vertex = ((-b/2a),f(x)) = ((3/2),f(x))
