I hope you mean "what is the position after..." instead of "how long is Julie on the slide" since if you're asking how long is she on the waterslide, the answers must be 30 s, 1 min, 2 min
Anyway, to find the position y, just replace each value for x (the time) into the equation for y, and do the arithmetic. You'll have to convert 30 s into .5 min.
