When x=-9, the binomial is actually x+9
This is because when you solve for x from x+9,
x+9=0
x+9-9=0-9
x=-9
Same thing with the x=1.
When x=1, the binomial is x-1
This is because when you solve for x from x-1,
x-1=0
x-1+1=0+1
x=1
Since your binomials are (x+9) and (x-1),
your equation is (x+9)(x-1)=0
(x+9)(x-1)=0
