Question 376663: a soccer ball was kicked from the ground and its height in meters above ground is modeled by the function h(t)=-4.9t^2+19.6t where t represents the time in second after the ball is kicked how long is the ball in the air
Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
h(t)=-4.9t^2+19.6t
h= 0 when it touches the ground
..
-4.9t^2+19.6t=0
-4.9t^2=-19.6t
/-4.9t
t=-19.6t/-4.9t
t=4 seconds.
..
As you will see from the graph the height is = 0 at t=4 seconds
