Question 371745: How would I solve this equation... There are 21 females in the Algebra 1 class. If 75% of the class is female, how many students are there in the class?
I tried setting it up like this:
21 (.75)= x
x= 15.75

There are 21 females in the Algebra 1 class. If 75% of the class is female, how many students are there in the class?
s = # of students
75% = 0.75
21 = 0.75*s
s = 21/0.75
s = 28
