First let's factor the denominators and then get rid of them.
x/(x^2-4) - 1/x^2+4x+4 Factored to:
x/[(x-2)(x+2)] - 1/[(x+2)(x+2)]
Now we can multiply this by: (x+2)(x-2)(x+2)
This we leave us with:
x(x+2)-(x-2)
Rewritten as:
x^2+x+2
This is simplified
