Question 36149: In the following problem use the discriminant to determine the number of solutions of the quadratic equation, and whether the solutions are real or complex. Note: It is not necessary to find the roots; just determine the number and types of solutions.
2x^2 - 6x + 5 = 0

I do know that your anwser is: 1.5i + .5i and 1.5i - .5i To me there are two solutions and, they both are complex.
I hope I helped here. NOTE that they are both the same, but differant so write them as plus and minus 1.5(+ and-).5i.
Your anwser is 1.5 (plus and minus) .5i
