we get (-(-8)+/- sqrt (-8*-8-4*2*-3))/4 or (8+/-sqrt(64+24))/4 or
(8+/- sqrt 88)/4 or (8+2sqrt11)/4 or (4+sqrt11)/2 or (8-2sqrt11)/4 or
(4-sqrt11)/2
