Given the function f(x)=5x2-10x-4, what is the domain of f

Since it has no denominators containing variables or even-root radicals
containing variables, the domain in that case is always "all real numbers"

Your function is a polynomial, that is it is an expression of finite length constructed from variables and constants, using only the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and non-negative, whole-number exponents. Therefore the domain is the set of real numbers. Said another way, there are no real number values that can be substituted for for which is undefined.

My calculator said it, I believe it, that settles it
