The average rate of fall from a dropped object: *32.2 = 16.1 ft/sec
:
h = -16.1t^2 + 150
where
h = height of a dropped object after t seconds
h=0 when it hits the ground
-16.1t^2 + 150 = 0
-16.1t^2 = -150
Divide both sides by -16.1
t^2 = +9.31677

t = 3.05 sec
