Question 290628: Find the vertex of the parabola:
y=-x²+1/2x+2

Answer by user_dude2008(1862)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=-x^2+(1/2)x+2

y=-(x^2-(1/2)x-2)

y=-(x^2-(1/2)x+1/16-1/16-2)

y=-((x-1/4)^2-1/16-2)

y=-((x-1/4)^2-33/16)

y=-(x-1/4)^2+33/16

Vertex is (1/4, 33/16)
