Question 281535: 2z^2 + 3=8z

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2z^2+3=8z
2z^2-8z+3=0

z=(8+-sqrt[-8^2-4*2*3])/2*2
z=(8+-sqrt(64-24])/4
z=(8+-sqrt40)/4
z=(8+-6.3246)/4
z=(8+6.3246)/4
z=14.3246/4
z=3.58 ans.
z=(8-6.3246)/4
z=1.6754/4
z=.419 ans.
